Student Laptop Program

2026 Student Laptop Program

Laverton P–12 College is excited to introduce our Student Laptop Program for all students in Years 7–12, commencing in 2026.

This program will ensure every student has consistent and reliable access to the digital tools and online learning resources essential for their education.

To support this transition, the use of Computers on Wheels (COWs) in the secondary school will be gradually phased out during Term 4, 2025, with all students expected to bring their own device from Term 1, 2026.

Recognising that families have different needs and preferences, the program offers three flexible options for students to access a suitable device:

  1. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) – Students may use their own laptop that meets the school’s minimum specifications.
  2. Purchase Your Own Device (PYOD) – Families can purchase a recommended device through JB Hi-Fi Education using the school’s portal.
  3. School-Recommended Device (SRD) – Families may choose the school’s selected ASUS ExpertBook BR1104, available through a payment plan managed by the school.

Each option ensures students are equipped with a reliable device that supports classroom learning, school systems, and online engagement.

For detailed program information, including device specifications, ordering instructions, and participation requirements, please refer to the full document below:
